Yuna is a 45–year–old woman who had never considered adopting a dog before. With her husband, they end up adopting two: the first, Carrot, is a 2–year–old male corgi. The second, Potato, is a one–year–old bastard dog. They live in the countryside an hour from Seoul. There, they can come across dogs abandoned every day by people from the capital who came to the region to get rid of them. Other dogs are sometimes locked in cages where they can barely stand, abused, and malnourished by their owners. Before disappearing. These dogs are killed for their meat. Because dogs are considered in Korea (as in other Asian countries) as a healthy delicacy. A little–known facet of Korea: dogs, no discord in the country! Animal raised to be eaten or pet, it is even an issue of the elections in 2022. Keum Suk Gendry–Kim gives us a sensitive story, which exposes the violence of humans and tells us the history of his country, contemporary society, and the people who live there.
