Ahmose, Book 1 is an exciting historical novel that immerses us in ancient Egypt at a pivotal time in its history. We discover the life and exploits of two characters with the same name: Ahmose, the son of King Seqenenre Tao II, and Ahmose, the son of Abana. The first is destined to become the founder of the 18th dynasty and the liberator of Egypt from the Hyksos, these invaders from the Near East who have ruled over the north of the country for more than a century. The second is a humble soldier who will distinguish himself by his bravery and loyalty to the service of the king.

The novel follows the adventures of these two heroes through the battles, intrigues, loves, and dramas that marked this troubled period. The author was inspired by the inscriptions in the tomb of Amosis son of Abana, one of the few written sources we have on the conflict with the Hyksos. He also did thorough research work to restore with accuracy and vividness the historical, cultural, and religious context of Egypt in the 16th century BC.

Ahmose, Book 1 is a captivating novel that makes us travel in time and space, to meet a fascinating civilization and an unknown epic. It is also an ode to freedom, courage, and hope, universal values that still resonate today.
